Server hardware and software Infrastructure

Our web server infrastructure is based on the Linux based systems (Red Hat 9) running on various platforms (Pentium based equipment). Some Windows NT systems are also available.

The Web Server software most frequently used is the Apache 1.5.1a package and the Netscape Secure Server that handles all SSL-related calls. Microsoft IIS systems are also available. Some of the technologies supported include: ASP, PHP, JSP, CGI

RDBMS systems used for the support of data driven web sites include: MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle 8i.

Biznet also operates and maintains its own DNS, e-mail and ftp servers in order to support our clients web sites.

IP Connectivity Infrastructure

The systems based in our central offices in Athens, Greece connect to the Internet via two redundant links of 2 Mbps. We should mention here that our bandwidth is exclusively used by our Web and e-mail servers as we do not provide Internet connectivity through our systems. The current load on our Internet links can be seen at the real time graphs below:

BGP software is used on our routing equipment provided by Cisco; our LAN equipment (Fast Ethernet switches) also comes from the same equipment vendor and connects our different systems (servers, development workstations, office automation equipment) in Virtual LANs over a Cat6 copper cable infrastructure.
